Swimming with Dad
My most fond memory is probably when i was about 4 or 5 years old and I was with my Dad in a pool and he was teaching me to dive off the diving board. I do not have many other such memories, just the one or so.
This Summer, after doing a flip off the diving board at the club we joined, I came up to the lifeguard telling me my son, Aaron, said "That's my Dad!" when I was doing the flip. He was laughing. We all were.
That's my new favorite memory.
We had a "rest" Summer. This is where we don't do much except rest and play. We make no plans.
I have to work, of course, but after work we might relax around the house, or go to the country club pool and swim, get food and and an ice cream. Me and Aaron would practice jumping and flipping off the diving board. The girls would lounge in the pool and have food or ice cream.
When I'm sitting by the pool, Aaron would play with his new friends or take on the water slide. Some times he would be involved in an intense pool-baseball game with the other boys. Ice cream is to be had. Only one per trip though, can't have too much!
It was a great Summer. Hope to do it again next year.
